About Us

What started eighteen years ago as 3 tomato plants, shared by an elderly neighbor, quickly turned into a love of gardening. We learned how to grow many things from seed, propagate our own plants and pack our yard with lovely plants while filling our table with fresh herbs and vegetables. We shared our extras with friends and neighbors. Then we found sites where you could trade for other plants and soon we had a few daylilies which led to collecting daylilies and eventually hybridizing our own daylilies! It didn’t take long to fill our ¼ acre lot!

In 2004, we had our sixth daughter. We had outgrown our home and the yard was down to paths of grass between gardens. We had truly found many things that made us happy but could longer fit them into the space we had. So we started looking for a new place to call home. In 2005, we found a place that needed a lot of work but that could be moved into with a few updates. The bonus was that the home was situated on 7.25 acres which would allow room for the girls and the gardens to grow. We threw all caution to the wind, bought the house, leaving city life behind us and Gemini Garden was born.

We now have a special addition. Our son Nolan was born on March 8th! It is so fun to watch him grow up with his six big sisters in our world of flowers and sports. He's already spoiled rotten and surrounded by tons of loving arms.

Early in 2008, my husband (See profile) was downsized from his job. He's explored every avenue and still remains jobless. I thought I'd add this to our page and hope someone looking here might have some ideas. We understand times are tough for many right now.

We wish you all peace and prosperity in 2010.
